Our Story

Kamalia Khaddar, originating from the town of Kamalia in Punjab, Pakistan, boasts a rich history that predates the era of Alexander the Great, indicating its longstanding cultural significance. The town's name is derived from Kamal Khan Kharal, a prominent 14th-century ruler, highlighting its deep-rooted heritage. 

The craftsmanship of Khaddar has been integral to the region's identity for centuries, with Kamalia emerging as a central hub for its production. This handwoven fabric gained prominence during the pre-partition era, notably aligning with the independence movement, symbolizing self-reliance and national pride. 

In more recent times, Kamalia Khaddar has continued to thrive, with establishments like Kamalia Khaddar Agency upholding the tradition since 1957. Their commitment to preserving the legacy of this beloved textile ensures that Khaddar remains a cherished fabric, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary fashion.
